Geo News blocked on President Zardari’s orders: Sources

It has been learned that cable operators across the country blocked the transmission of Geo News on the directive of President Asif Ali Zardari.

President Zardari has sent messages to Geo TV administration in which he has said that if Geo has recovered from the courts the losses incurred following the ban on the channel in former president Pervez Musharraf’s rule then it should stop forthwith the coverage of lawyers movement for the restoration of November 3, 2007 judiciary.

The reason why President Asif Ali Zardari has taken the step is that Geo TV is reminding the President his past promises and commitments he had made to the nation and what Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had said about the freedom of expression, restoration of judiciary and Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. "GEO ZINDABAD " Pakistani People are on the back of Geo, So Need to worry we always support Indepenedence of Institution and we will......... Zardari and Musharaf almost same only has the difference like 19, 20 ................ So please make a Slogen " Such Ka Liya Geo"

Habib Jalib - Pakistan Is Really Missing You

Today Is Habib Jalib Death Anniversary and me and millions of Pakistani people really missing him. He is the Only man who fight against the dictatorship at the time when people are scared and he dadicated his whole life for the people of pakistan. Now i am really missing him and his poem Dastoor.

The poem was originally written In 1962, when Field Marshal Ayub Khan formulated the new constitution and was playing the flute of his administrative capabilities, Jalib called it faulty. He called it a tool of exploitation and wrote his most memorable poem Dastoor which shattered the manipulated intentions of the government

The light which shines only in palaces
Burns up the joy of the people in the shadows
Derives its strength from others’ weakness
That kind of system,
like dawn without light
I refuse to acknowledge,
I refuse to accept

I am not afraid of execution,
Tell the world that I am the martyr
How can you frighten me with prison walls?
This overhanging doom,
this night of ignorance,
I refuse to acknowledge,
I refuse to accept

“Flowers are budding on branches”, that’s what you say,
“Every cup overflows”, that’s what you say,
“Wounds are healing themselves”, that’s what you say,
These bare-faces lies,
this insult to the intelligence,
I refuse to acknowledge,
I refuse to accept

For centuries you have all stolen our peace of mind
But your power over us is coming to an end
Why do you pretend you can cure pain?
Even if some claim that you’ve healed them,
I refuse to acknowledge,
I refuse to accept.

Mobile courts to conduct summary trials...Is this step is another Hurdle in Long March?

After the appointment of dozens of judges in different provincial High courts president Zadari took another action for the trials and this time mobile courts for the fast justices but i am still confused and some how i am agree with my statement that this action is another hurdle in 16 march long march. after the disqualification decision of supreme court of Pakistan and then Governor Rule imposed in Pakistan and then too many steps which were taken by a governer Salman Taseer to block the long march this is another action against the long march. I do not want to disclose more thing for you because you know the strudture and the thoughts of pakistan polition.

On the other hand Pakistan Muslim League-N has strongly criticized the setting up of mobile tribunals by President Asif Ali Zardari.Spokesman of PML-N said the act of establishing mobile courts deserves to be condemned. He said the aim of setting up these courts is to strangulate the democratic norms and suppressing political opponents. It may be mentioned here that President Asif Ali Zardari has promulgated the Ordinance of setting up mobile courts.

President Asif Ali Zardari promulgated an ordinance to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, authorising setting up of mobile courts and appointing district magistrates.

The mobile courts, to be set up under the new ordinance, are authorised to visit the crime site and announce sentence to criminals on the spot. However, keeping in view the timing of the ordinance, legal and political experts have termed it a bid to suppress the PML-N and the lawyers’ movement.Read More Mobile courts to conduct summary trials...Is this step is another Hurdle in Long March?
