PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Wednesday turned down all the news of an alliance of his party with the PPP for formation of the government in Punjab, saying all such news were mere rumors."No deal has been struck between the PPP and PML-Q and all such news are a part of disinformation," he told journalists here at his residence.
Calling upon the government to show restraint while dealing with the lawyers' Long March and sit-in, the veteran politician said the lawyers should be handled wisely otherwise any strict action would carry negative results.
Briefing the media after the meeting of the PML-Q Senators, Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed said the country was on the crossroads of the history and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani should come forward and play his due role in resolving the issue.
